About the role
- Backend Developer designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and AWS at EX Squared LATAM. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Desarrollar y mantener servicios backend y APIs utilizando Java y Spring Boot.
- Construir y optimizar APIs RESTful para aplicaciones empresariales.
- Integrar servicios backend con infraestructura AWS (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS).
- Aplicar principios de diseño orientado a objetos y patrones como Singleton y Factory para soluciones mantenibles.
- Trabajar con bases de datos relacionales, escribiendo consultas PL/SQL y procedimientos almacenados eficientes.
- Colaborar con equipos multidisciplinarios (Frontend, Producto, QA) para asegurar entregas de calidad.
- Escribir pruebas unitarias e integraciones usando JUnit y otros frameworks.
- Participar en flujos CI/CD con herramientas como Jenkins, GitHub Actions o GitLab CI.
- Apoyar en despliegues y resolución de problemas en entornos Unix/Linux.
Requirements
- Entre 3+ años de experiencia profesional en desarrollo backend con Java.
- Sólido entendimiento de fundamentos de Java: Collections, Streams, Lambdas y programación funcional.
- Experiencia práctica con Spring Boot y Spring MVC.
- Dominio en diseño y consumo de APIs RESTful.
- Habilidades en bases de datos relacionales (Oracle, PostgreSQL o MySQL) y PL/SQL.
- Conocimiento de JSON, XML y herramientas Java relacionadas.
- Experiencia básica con servicios AWS para integración backend.
- Conocimiento de pipelines CI/CD y flujos de trabajo con Git.
- Comodidad trabajando en entornos Unix/Linux.
- Deseable: Experiencia con Terraform u otras herramientas de Infraestructura como Código.
- Familiaridad con arquitectura de microservicios.
- Conocimiento en contenedores (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Comprensión de mejores prácticas de seguridad en la nube.
- Experiencia con arquitecturas orientadas a eventos (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
