About the role
- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer managing HVAC system design and operations for Equinix data centers. Leading projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring adherence to standards.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer mentors junior engineers.
- Performs the planning, system design, system implementation and support of our data center HVAC systems.
- Lead small to medium scale HVAC projects and the roll out of mechanical HVAC engineering initiatives.
- Plans and directs day to day operations and strategic direction of delivery of either a construction project or delivery of operations for a data center facility.
Requirements
- 7+ Years of related experience in a critical facility or data center environment
- Knowledge of data center HVAC mechanical engineering design
- Efficiency and data modeling
- Experience developing and managing projects with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
