About the role

• Senior Kubernetes Engineer leading the development of Kubernetes environments at a FinTech startup. Ensuring a modern platform for building SaaS solutions with vibrant team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• You take a lead role in planning and developing our Kubernetes environments and the overall platform.
• You use your expertise to drive the automation and professionalization of our small "private clouds".
• You provide environments and services that enable our developers to build cutting-edge SaaS solutions for our customers.
• You proactively build a stable platform and resolve issues before they arise.
• You are a key member of an agile, motivated product team.

Requirements

• You have a university degree in a technical field.
• You have proven experience operating Kubernetes clusters.
• You are skilled in building Kubernetes infrastructure and running applications on clusters.
• You are comfortable working in environments with strict requirements for data protection, security, and compliance.
• You have experience with technologies and concepts such as CI/CD and GitOps (e.g., Argo CD, Tekton).
• Experience managing stateful "pets" with high-availability requirements (e.g., PostgreSQL databases).
• Experience with persistent storage for pods (e.g., Longhorn, NFS).
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog).
• You can develop innovative ideas and communicate them clearly to your team and other stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
