Responsibilities
To provide software configuration management (SCM) support at the program level;
To manage parallel software development and release cycles ensuring functionality and provide SCM for large, distributed development network with remote partners;
To work with other teams to resolve operational matters.
Ensures functionality of source code or packages (Progress, .NET or Oracle) in the release environment.
Builds, maintains, and addresses issues with Progress, Corticon, and SurveyMonkey releases.
Contributes to establishing, maintaining and enhancing the configuration management environment to enable parallel software development for multiple teams.
Assists with providing up-to-the-minute status information by closely monitoring and becoming familiar with designated application lines through source code control.
Coordinates and performs application releases into production; prepares process and standards documentation.
Works closely with development and quality assurance (QA) teams to help ensure that correct versions of the source code base have been compiled correctly into the appropriate testing environments.
Works closely with the infrastructure team to coordinate networking changes, port opening requirements, and all other internal modifications that are needed for various environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or computer information systems from an accredited college or university preferred.
Six (6) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required including three (3) years of experience in SCM and release management is required.
Proven experience understanding and driving the software development process required.
