About the role

Responsibilities
- Develops a comprehensive program plan, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements based on the needs of our Global Reference Lab line of business.
- Identifies and engages key stakeholders, such as project sponsors, business owners, cross-functional teams, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and support for the program.
- Defines and manages the program budget, including tracking and reporting on expenditures.
- Allocate and optimize resources to achieve program goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues that may impact the program's success.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Establish a governance structure to facilitate decision-making, issue escalation, and communication across program stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of product owners, technical specialists, and other resources.
- Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.
- Monitors and tracks program progress, ensuring that projects are executed according to plan.
- Identify and resolve conflicts, dependencies, and bottlenecks that may impede progress.
- Regularly communicates program status, updates, and risks to senior management, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and dashboards as required.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for program deliverables.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support the successful adoption and integration of program deliverables within the organization.
- Conduct post-program evaluations to capture lessons learned and best practices.
- Apply insights to future programs and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve program management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with business/technical degree preferred in a science, technical, or engineering domain or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Program Manager, overseeing large-scale IT programs or projects.
- Experience leading business process design and improvement in the scope of large systems implementation, preferably in a laboratory, clinical bioinformatics environment (LIMS/ Analytical Software).
- 8+ years of experience working in a cross-functional team environment with a track record of being a part of software projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
- Working knowledge of software design/architecture processes.
