About the role
- Evaluate and support the delivery of business solutions that align with Ameriprise Information Security policies, standards, and best practices
- Act as single point of contact for assigned business projects for information security consulting engagements
- Perform internal audits, support external audits and close identified gaps
- Implement and execute security evaluation processes and provide feedback/recommendations to remediate security gaps
- Perform configuration compliance scans/audits
- Engage or integrate vendor solutions and purchase/integrate 3rd party tools/products
- Build strong partnerships and value-added relationships with technology and business stakeholders
- Perform various security assessments including security interviews, requirements analysis, and occasional hands-on testing
- Provide security technology engineering design leadership to technology project teams
- Direct and recommend tactical security technology decisions including go/no-go on security changes
- Provide input to executive management reporting on information and technology compliance
- Communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders over the phone
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Information Security or/and 2-3 Years experience in Server/Network admin
- Strong knowledge of cloud (AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with Network/Servers/Endpoint
- Must be comfortable explaining security concepts to non-technical people over the phone
- Experience performing internal audits, supporting external audits and closing identified gaps
- Experience implementing and executing security evaluation processes and providing remediation recommendations
- Experience with configuration compliance scans/audits
- Experience engaging or integrating vendor solutions and purchasing/integrating 3rd party tools/products
- Security engineering/design leadership experience for technology project teams
- Ability to direct and recommend tactical security technology decisions (go/no-go)
- Preferred: Thought-leadership recognition in Information Security
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISA, Security+
- Preferred cloud certifications: AWS or Azure
- Preferred: ITIL Certifications
- Preferred: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Preferred: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
