About the role
- Senior GL Accountant responsible for General Ledger accounting activities at Perrigo in Warsaw. Seeking Finance professionals to join a collaborative international environment with growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the execution of General Ledger accounting activities assigned to Perrigo Services International Poland.
- Applying the guidelines of the accounting manual, ensuring correct cost center and profit center accounting and correct use of GL accounts, booking of journals, account reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliation, financial close reporting in CFIN, month-end close process completion, US GAAP postings, statutory filings (unless outsourced).
- Execute General Ledger accounting activities for a specific cluster and potentially designated countries or legal entities within Perrigo Services International Poland.
- Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the accounting manual, ensuring accurate cost center and profit center accounting, and the correct utilization of GL accounts.
- Perform tasks such as journal entry booking, account reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliation, and contribute to financial close reporting in CFIN.
- Contribute to the completion of the month-end close process, including posting entries in accordance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist in preparing statutory filings, unless these tasks have been outsourced, to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Controlling or Accounting
- Knowledge of Finance in general and General Ledger in particular
- Experience within a Business Shared Service Centre
- SAP Finance experience
- Fluent in English and other European language (preferably French, Italian, Spanish, German).
