About the role
- Senior Full-Stack Developer contributing to digital infrastructure for a travel direct provider. Engaging in agile project work with Ruby-on-Rails, MariaDB, and modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Development and continuous enhancement of modern web applications using Ruby on Rails and MariaDB
- Designing, implementing and documenting REST APIs
- Use and evaluation of modern AI tools to support development, testing and code quality
- Contributing to exciting projects with a high degree of creative freedom
- Continuous improvement of our software development processes and active involvement in shaping the architecture
- Working in an agile team using Scrum/Kanban with short decision-making paths
Requirements
- Degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of practical experience as a software developer
- Strong expertise in developing web applications with Ruby on Rails and MariaDB
- Experience with GitHub and ideally Elasticsearch
- Initial experience using AI-assisted development or analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, ML services)
- Knowledge of newer technologies such as MCP Server is a plus
- Team player with a structured working style and a high degree of personal responsibility
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or similar)
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
