About the role
- Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge software solutions for cloud-based managed services.
- Implement identified components from design documentation and functional programming specifications and ensure documentation and unit tests.
- Architect solutions, test code, deploy and build CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage with clients to design applications covering Applications, Data, Cloud Technology & Application Authentication & Authorization.
- Perform code review of project deliverables and lead work sessions and client discussions with application development/support teams.
- Perform application code changes based on defined application modernization strategy and architecture.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost-effective application designs using microservices patterns and best practices.
- Develop and modernize applications based on cloud native architecture that includes APIs, microservices and containers.
- Lead project delivery by coaching and mentoring the developers in activities.
- Work with the offering and capabilities team to build application modernization offerings and develop delivery capabilities.
- Mentor and coach junior developers on initiatives.
Requirements
- Overall 7+ years of relevant IT experience, with focus on application development, support and integrating solutions across systems.
- 3+ years deep expertise in a development domain with 3 or more projects in an agile method driven environment as a full stack developer.
- Experience in application development, support and integrating solutions across systems; application modernization activities.
- Experience in cloud native environment (development/support/modernization).
- Good understanding and experience of cloud native application design principles (micro-services, stateless application, containers, 12 factor app principles).
- Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk.
- Must have executed large application development (green field and brown field) and modernization project on cloud (at least 2 programs).
- Tech stack: Java, NodeJS, REST & SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, Maven/Gradle, React, HTML, CSS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS/Azure/Google/IBM, Apache Tomcat, DevOps framework.
- Preferred: Microservice, Containerization, Domain driven design, Angular, ReactJS, ExpressJS, VueJS, MS SQL, Redis, Dynamo, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Python, NodeJS, JPA, Quarkus, Hibernate, API Gateways, Go, Scala, Jboss EAP, Open Liberty, Kafka, Tomcat, Nginx, Jetty, WebLogic, RabbitMQ, JIRA, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT, NEXUS, DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl.
