Senior Frontend Engineer shaping user experience for finance software at Rillet. Collaborating with teams to build intuitive, high-performance interfaces.

Responsibilities

Lead technical decisions for frontend architecture, driving discussions around component design, state management, and performance optimization.
Shape Rillet's frontend technical strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation in user experience and interface scalability.
Partner with product managers, designers, and finance experts to influence product direction, advocating for user experience and balancing design vision with technical feasibility.
Drive customer research initiatives, translating user feedback into frontend requirements and championing accessibility and usability in engineering decisions.
Establish and champion continuous delivery practices for frontend deployments, mentoring team members on deployment strategies and ensuring reliable, frequent releases.
Lead by example in test-driven development and automation, building robust testing frameworks for UI components and fostering a quality-first culture.
Own frontend performance and user experience excellence, implementing monitoring solutions, optimizing bundle sizes and load times, and ensuring exceptional interface responsiveness.
Mentor frontend engineers on the team, conducting code reviews, and raising the technical bar across the organization.

5+ years of frontend engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, including a proven track record leading large-scale frontend projects and architecting component systems.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
Expertise in responsive design, CSS architecture (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, CSS Modules), cross-browser compatibility, and frontend performance optimization.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), modern web APIs, and experience working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
Ability to find practical solutions to real user problems while thriving both independently and collaboratively within a small team, with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
