Responsibilities
- Lead technical decisions for frontend architecture, driving discussions around component design, state management, and performance optimization.
- Shape Rillet's frontend technical strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation in user experience and interface scalability.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and finance experts to influence product direction, advocating for user experience and balancing design vision with technical feasibility.
- Drive customer research initiatives, translating user feedback into frontend requirements and championing accessibility and usability in engineering decisions.
- Establish and champion continuous delivery practices for frontend deployments, mentoring team members on deployment strategies and ensuring reliable, frequent releases.
- Lead by example in test-driven development and automation, building robust testing frameworks for UI components and fostering a quality-first culture.
- Own frontend performance and user experience excellence, implementing monitoring solutions, optimizing bundle sizes and load times, and ensuring exceptional interface responsiveness.
- Mentor frontend engineers on the team, conducting code reviews, and raising the technical bar across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, including a proven track record leading large-scale frontend projects and architecting component systems.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
- Expertise in responsive design, CSS architecture (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, CSS Modules), cross-browser compatibility, and frontend performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), modern web APIs, and experience working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Ability to find practical solutions to real user problems while thriving both independently and collaboratively within a small team, with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
