About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced ABAP programs, enhancements, and custom applications supporting Finance Technology initiatives
- Leverage HANA-native development (CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script) to deliver high-performance solutions for financial systems
- Build and extend SAP Fiori apps and OData services to enable intuitive, user-centric financial workflows
- Develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP, enabling secure, scalable integration with SAP Finance and external systems
- Deliver complete solutions spanning all phases of the SDLC (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations)
- Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with governance and compliance principles
- Ensure development practices meet SOX, audit, and enterprise security requirements
- Partner with FPSL experts, functional analysts, finance, and enterprise system teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Provide technical guidance, enforce coding best practices, and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including ABAP Objects, enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs, BADIs, User Exits, and performance optimization
- Proven experience with SAP HANA development (CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script, data modeling, performance tuning)
- Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5, including building and extending Fiori applications and OData services
- Practical expertise with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, CAP, Integration Suite)
- Experience with Finance modules (FI/CO, FPSL, or related) and integration with external systems
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, audit readiness) and secure coding practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Background in payments or banking industry systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to operate as both a hands-on engineer and technical leader
