Responsibilities
- Analyze transmission engineering and analyses of proposed Eversource transmission investments
- Prepare and submit data, reports, presentations, and compliance filings regarding Eversource transmission projects
- Monitor Eversource transmission projects and resource interconnections
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline data collection and reporting
- Represent Eversource at ISO New England and NEPOOL committees
- Scrutinize technical reports related to the operational and economic impact of clean energy resources
- Support regulatory compliance filings/reporting in federal, regional and state arenas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering required
- Master’s degree in engineering preferred
- 5 to 8 years of related experience
- Ability to interpret and analyze key regional transmission planning studies
- Experience testifying in state or federal regulatory proceedings helpful, but not required
- Understanding of economic theory and wholesale electricity markets.
- Must have technical knowledge of the New England transmission grid.
