About the role
- Senior DevOps Engineer II at Dentsply Sirona focusing on optimizing toolchain, automating processes, and managing deployments. Lead collaboration between DevOps and development teams for better integration and performance.
Responsibilities
- Enhance infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues that affect system health.
- Define and oversee enterprise-wide deployment strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and high resilience.
- Drive innovation in deployment processes and system performance optimization.
- Facilitate communication between development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment on objectives.
- Mentor and support the growth of junior team members.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Github Actions, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build).
- Bachelors, Masters or PhD in computer science or related engineering disciplines or relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- German language skills are advantageous.
- Experience mentoring junior developers is advantageous.
