About the role
- Senior Data Scientist collaborating with teams to analyze logistics datasets for predictive insights. Performing analyses and deploying models to improve global supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform analyses to make internal recommendations as to whether data science methods can be used to solve a given problem
- Interpret and communicate analytic results to analytical and non-analytical business partners and executive decision makers
- Research and evaluate new analytical methodologies, approaches, and solutions
- Build, test, and deploy supervised or unsupervised learning models
- Collaborate with teams to analyze the behavior of global transportation networks & supply chains
- Write queries to grab the right set of data to solve problems
- Build tools to enable other data scientists to scale their knowledge and increase impact
- Participate in code reviews and model reviews
- Collaborate with ML Ops Engineers to deploy new models to production
- Mentor junior scientists on the team
Requirements
- 7+ years professional experience working in an analytics or DS-focused role
- Ability to write sophisticated data analysis & machine learning code in python
- Thought leadership to take a real-world problem without a clean, pre-existing dataset and solve it
- Experience developing software projects with large teams using technologies like; git, github, jira etc.
- Ability to take a project from ideation to implementation with a high degree of autonomy and out-of-the box thinking
