About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient and scalable data models and data marts (e.g.star schema, snowflake schema) using best practices for data warehousing and business intelligence that are optimized for self-service analytics tools
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g. finance, marketing, operations) to gather and document detailed business requirements for new data models.
- Proactively identify new business areas and data domains that would benefit from centralized, standardized, and optimized data models
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand data usage patterns and reporting needs
- Create engaging training materials, including presentations, videos, and interactive exercises, to facilitate effective learning
Requirements
- Extensive experience in previous Business Intelligence, Data Visualization or Analytical roles
- Strong proficiency in dbt, SQL, dimensional data modeling and ETL processes
- Experience in product usage analytics
- Experience in multiple BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Qlik Sense, Looker, Google Data Studio)
- Significant experience with Python scripting for data extraction, processing, automation tasks
- Proven track record to translate business requirements into effective dashboards and reports
- Demonstrated ability to leverage APIs for robust data connections and efficient data exploration
- Exposure to IBM Planning Analytics or similar
- Familiarity with BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouses
- Advocate for data visualization best practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
