About the role
- Develop and continuously improve automation services and tools for provisioning and business processes
- Be responsible for creation and improvement of automated provisioning and tool development to underpin Change and Incident Management
- Develop a scalable, reliable, resilient, and cost efficient automation platform
- Integrate automation platform with other OSS/BSS (monitoring, asset management, customer relation management, etc.)
- Work closely with IP Architects, system engineers and SRE teams on projects and initiatives
- Build testing, staging, and stress environments for Network Architecture and Design
- Advocate and implement CI/CD practices to drive continuous improvement and higher service availability
- Primarily a software development role with strong IP networking involvement
Requirements
- Interest in IP Networks and solid understanding of IP
- Passion for automation and knowledge of what and why to automate
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Object oriented programming, familiar with advanced designs
- Python
- Ansible
- Working experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL, in-memory)
- Create and use REST APIs
- Building CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Write Unit tests
- Version control systems
- Amazon Web Services experience
- Experience implementing technologies with a focus on operability, reliability, and scalability
