About the role
- Senior Analytics Engineer at Deliveroo providing clean and well-modelled data sets. Collaborating with product teams and optimizing BI tools for data accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide clean, tested, well-documented and well-modelled data sets using tools like Snowflake and/or Looker
- Work with product engineering teams to ensure modelling of source data meets downstream requirements
- Maintain and develop SQL data transformation scripts
- Advise and review data scientists on data modelling to achieve denormalised and aggregated output datasets
- Work with data scientists and other analytics engineers to surface clean, intuitive datasets in BI tool Looker
- Responsible for optimisation and further adoption of Looker as a data product in the business
Requirements
- 6+ year experience within the field of Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering or Data Engineering
- Excellent SQL skills
- Understanding of data warehousing, data modelling concepts and structuring new data tables
- Knowledge of cloud-based MPP data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Experience within the Ads domain (Nice to have)
- 2+ years experience developing in a BI tool (Looker or similar) (Nice to have)
- Good practical understanding of version control (Nice to have)
- SQL ETL/ELT knowledge, experience with DAGs to manage script dependencies (Nice to have)
- Python coding skills, particularly in automation & integrations (Nice to have)
- Knowledge of the Looker API (Nice to have)
