About the role
- Senior Accountant supporting accounting functions for a travel company’s Australia Group based in Woodland Hills. Focused on GAAP, reconciliations, month-end close, and audits.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Australia Senior Manager and support accounting functions for the Australia Group
- Oversee air accounting, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Manage cash operations: wire batches, refunds, and FX adjustments
- Perform month-end close activities (transfer pricing, FX revaluations, accruals)
- Prepare management reports and support internal/external audits
- Enhance internal controls and contribute to ad hoc projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; exposure to IFRS a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with ability to work cross-functionally
