Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax requirements.
Manage and coordinate audits, including liaising with external auditors.
Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Assist in financial planning, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
Stay updated with the latest accounting regulations and industry trends.
Identify and effectively communicate existing and potential risks to the CAO.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps/Drive (Gmail, Google Docs & Sheets, Gcal and Google Express)
