Senior Accountant at Leonardo DRS responsible for general ledger journal entries and various accounting tasks. Collaborating with Finance team to support month - end closing and financial reporting.
About the role
- Complete month end analysis of revenue
- Preparation and review of revenue accrual journals and balance sheet adjusting entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine
- Assist with risk assessment and internal & external audits
- Any additional ad hoc tasks assigned including researching solutions
- Collaborate with the revenue accounting team supporting Clarivate entities in NetSuite (team primarily in Philadelphia)
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting functions for general accounting and reconciliations
- Experience in the preparation of journals, particularly revenue accruals and adjustments
- Advanced computer literacy in M.S. Office products, especially MS Excel
- Experience with accounting ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite preferred) and BlackLine (preferred)
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication (must)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven track record in reconciliation, reporting, and month closure activities
- Proactive, willing to learn, adaptable; team player and self-starter
