Responsibilities
Support Accounting Management by maintaining and updating a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and process documents
Support Accounting Management working with our Advised Asset Services group working on the integration between our ALF, BETA & Oracle systems.
Prepare daily reconciliations of miscellaneous accounts on General Ledger
Prepare / review daily cash reconciliations and investigate differences
Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end journal entries to properly account for general ledger and intercompany activity
Prepare month-end reconciliations for general ledger accounts and quarter-end roll forward schedules
Prepare financial and regulatory reporting schedules related to general ledger activity
Provide business unit support for internal management reporting initiatives
Collaborate with business units and accounting personnel on quarterly forecasting requirements
Understand SOX documentation for accounting and other business units
Ensure process documentation and desktop procedures are accurate and are updated as refinements to processes occur
Assist with special projects as directed by Accounting Management
Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, regulators and internal auditors as directed by Accounting Management
Provide analytics for accruals including how they interact between US GAAP, regulatory and SEC requirements
Requirements
Bachelors Degree
5+ years accounting experience
