About the role
- Meet with customers to understand their business needs, security challenges, and technical requirements
- Design comprehensive security solutions utilising Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Entra ID, Entra Private Access, and the Defender suite
- Create detailed solution proposals including technical architecture diagrams, cost estimations, and implementation timelines
- Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for security and governance, incorporating Azure Locks, tags, and disaster recovery strategies
- Act as the technical authority on Microsoft security, providing guidance and expertise to clients and internal teams
- Produce high-quality documentation for all architectural designs, implementation plans, and security standards
- Lead client-facing engagements, gather requirements, and outline implementation plans
Requirements
- Subject matter expert in Microsoft's security ecosystem, especially Azure, Entra ID, Entra Private Access
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender services (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud)
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or similar SIEM for advanced threat monitoring and response
- Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking, and security services
- Proven experience with Azure networking components (Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups) and NVAs (e.g., Barracuda)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail
- Relevant Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g., AZ-500, SC-100)
- Knowledge of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) processes (desirable)
- Experience with data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) (desirable)
- Project management or project delivery methodology experience (desirable)
