Responsibilities
Managing the ratemaking of Commercial Automobile products in Ontario, Atlantic, Western (OAW) region
Collaborating on business solutions with various stakeholders
Developing talent and managing people in a team of actuarial professionals
Planning, developing, and implementing the business plan
Overseeing activities supporting the organization's strategic orientations
Establishing and implementing rating strategies for commercial lines commercial automobile in OAW
Analyzing experience and monitoring the market to dynamically adjust pricing
Working with relevant regulators on implementing changes
Providing actuarial advice and expertise to the analysts of the team in business projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial science or in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience including three years of management experience
Management or leadership experience preferred
Coaching and talent development experience
Actuarial, Ratemaking, Corporate Actuarial or Finance experience
Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) Designation preferred or working on Actuarial exams
Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients
