About the role
- Transport Respiratory Care Therapist responsible for patient safety and care during medical transports. Collaborating with medical staff to provide advanced life support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety of patients prior to and during transport to medical care facilities.
- Provide basic patient care as well as advanced life support measures required to stabilize the critically ill or injured patient.
- Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal and pediatric critical care respiratory practices.
- Familiar with ambulance and aircraft operating procedures and safety practices.
- Must be available for on-call and as scheduled.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Minimum of two (2) years current pediatric intensive care (PICU), cardiac intensive care (CICU), or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Washington State RCP License.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be obtained within three (3) months of start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP).
- A current passport or WA Enhanced ID is a prerequisite to hiring.
