About the role
- Quantum Architecture Scientist designing, simulating, and optimizing quantum optics for Xanadu's photonic quantum computer. Engaging in research and collaboration on advanced quantum theories and experimental setups.
Responsibilities
- Work on designing, simulating, and optimizing the physical/quantum optics layer of Xanadu’s photonic quantum computer.
- Investigate methods for preparing bosonic qubits and cluster states.
- Develop new theory and numerical tools.
- Study physical sources of noise.
- Provide theory support for experimental demos.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Expertise in theoretical quantum optics and/or bosonic qubit theory.
- Demonstrated Python programming skills e.g. for research, coursework, or personal projects (include GitHub profile on CV if available).
- Demonstrated ability to employ numerical techniques for research problems.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills e.g. papers, posters, conference talks, teaching experience.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities/deadlines.
