About the role

  • Bring a test driven, quality first mindset to current and upcoming initiatives
  • Shape and execute test strategy to deliver consistent, reliable, high performing solutions
  • Build test automation and devise exploratory test plans covering functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work as part of a group of full stack developers, analysts and product owners to set high quality standards
  • Design and implement automated test suites throughout the software development lifecycle (unit, component, acceptance and regression tests)
  • Collaborate with developers to review and suggest test cases
  • Perform exploratory testing to complement automated tests and identify user experience improvements
  • Invest in continuous improvement of the team's testing approach/strategy to optimize feedback loops for system quality and reliability
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to clarify hidden, missed, or invalid use cases and understand user workflows

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience as a QA engineer
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Object Oriented programming concepts and languages (C#, Java, etc.)
  • Worked within Agile and CI/CD environments
  • Experience with cloud native solutions and API testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
  • .Net experience and proficiency (preferred)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and ReactJS (preferred)
  • Experience with Postman, JSON and XML (preferred)
  • Experience with database querying and testing (SQL and NoSQL) (preferred)
  • P&C Insurance knowledge (preferred)
  • Candidates located within 50 miles of a West Bend office and able to work a hybrid schedule (at least 3 days/week)
