About the role
- Take responsibility for the core framework and core services of cloud applications based on Java and Microsoft Azure
- Implement new features and improve the existing codebase as part of a distributed team
- Work within the Cloud Platform Team building the core framework that powers next-generation cloud products
- Leverage technologies such as Java, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Redis, and an event-sourcing architecture
- Connect and analyze PostgreSQL cluster impacts (partitioning, version updates) in the core framework
- Collaborate with team members distributed across Germany
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in computer science or a comparable vocational qualification
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Deep knowledge in developing with Java in distributed systems
- Experience using databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Experience working with IaaS/PaaS/FaaS environments from leading cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure)
- Experience using containers for build and test tools as well as productive services
- Ideally experience with cloud-native application architectures
- Development background with interest in security, database optimization, messaging, or test automation
- Excellent self-organization and ability to coach and further develop a team
- Communicative and independent working style
