About the role

  • Product Owner overseeing IT projects and operations processes for energy contract optimization at Wechselpilot. Collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • You will take responsibility for key IT projects related to our in-house CRM system, interfaces to energy providers and other tools that support our core processes
  • Gather, prioritize and translate requirements from Customer Support and Operations into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, plan releases and develop roadmaps in close coordination with development, management and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and high quality
  • Support testing, roll-out and feedback processes to ensure continuous improvement of our IT systems and services
  • Identify optimization opportunities in existing processes, initiate automation measures and actively contribute to the further development of our IT landscape
  • Assist with the introduction and selection of suitable models/services for AI-supported automation and optimization of core processes

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, IT Project Manager or in a comparable role, ideally in digital or data-driven environments
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (Operations, Customer Care) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Practical experience with AI (LLMs, prompting, AI orchestration)
  • Basic understanding of IT architectures, interfaces (APIs), databases and software development – you don't need to code, but you should be able to speak the developers' language
  • Analytical, structured thinking: ability to classify technical requirements and translate them into measurable business value
  • Market- and customer-oriented mindset: you understand our existing customers’ needs and use data to set priorities
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to mediate between stakeholders
  • High initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm for responsibility in dynamic, growing structures
