Product Manager driving strategy for Minerals and Chemical Intermediates at Orbia business in San Luis Potosi. Lead product development and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize product portfolios.
Responsibilities
Responsible for driving the product strategy for Minerals and Chemical Intermediates.
Lead product life cycle planning and development, evaluating asset opportunities and product trade-offs to optimize the product portfolio.
Develop and execute the product strategy, including a 5-10 year roadmap, aligning with the company’s long-term vision and growth targets.
Develop and analyze cost and profitability models to define pricing strategies (including floor prices and target margins), create profit maps, optimize product mix, and establish allocation principles during high-demand situations.
Manage the new product introduction process from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market demands.
Collaborate with the commercial team to support customer interactions, providing product expertise and addressing customer needs.
Partner with the Commercial team to convey product strategy and value propositions, set sales targets, provide pricing guidance, and deliver market-driven training as needed.
Work with the marketing team on customer segmentation, channel strategies, and identifying growth opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
Continuously analyze and evaluate the competitive landscape, including competitor cost structures and product offerings, to inform product and commercial strategies.
Understand customer applications and trends to ensure product development projects are accurate and market-relevant, contributing to value-driven product innovation.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to understand the raw material landscape, supporting procurement strategies and supply chain optimization.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the mining, chemicals, or related industrial sectors.
Ability to identify strategic needs, conduct in-depth analysis, and develop business recommendations.
Capable of generating alignment with key business partners to execute these strategies effectively.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and drive decisions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, compelling messages to both internal and external audiences.
Great project management abilities, capable of leading multiple initiatives, meeting deadlines, and managing resources effectively.
Willingness to expand knowledge in both the fluorspar mining and chemical production sectors, staying updated on industry trends and market dynamics.
