About the role
- Join the Claims Management team responsible for refunding €350M+ of healthcare expenses yearly to 1M+ members across France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada
- Build systems to refund members quickly and accurately while being cost-effective
- Work on internalized critical parts of health claims handling (document processing, claims experience, payments, fraud fighting)
- Develop features for document processing (LLMs/ML), claims user experience across multiple countries and platforms, payment infrastructure and source ingestion, and fraud detection systems
- Collaborate closely with product teams; those who make product decisions also build them
- Own services in a stack of React, Python/Flask, PostgreSQL in a monorepo and deploy daily
- Move fast with high ownership, participate in distributed ownership, and ensure systems run 24/7 reliably
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Experience building and shipping web applications
- Passionate about creating delightful products with exceptional user experiences
- Interest in business-side metrics: conversion funnels, marketing metrics, growth drivers
- Open to working with TypeScript and Python in a cross-platform environment
- Familiar with modern web technologies
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin, or C#)
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset
- Humble and willing to grow
- Collaborative and enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching
- English working proficiency
- Healthcare technology interest
- Experience or interest in leveraging AI/LLMs for scaling
- Must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain (and based in or willing to relocate to one of these countries)
