About the role
- Principal Software Engineer overseeing architecture and design in Salesforce’s Digital Marketing Technology group. Leading cutting-edge innovations and scalable solutions for CMS Content and Digital Experiences.
Responsibilities
- Establish the technical vision and unlock best-in-class capabilities in the marketing technology ecosystem for CMS Content, Digital Experience, Data, and Authoring Platform.
- Serve as the authoritative technical leader, providing architectural guidance, influencing technical decisions across multiple teams and the broader organization, while ensuring optimal business outcomes.
- Proactively partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define, shape, and champion the technical aspects of product roadmaps to align with business goals and architectural vision.
- Drive the design and architecture of complex, high-impact technical solutions that translate business requirements into robust, scalable, reliable, and secure systems, while leveraging of Salesforce product suite.
- Innovate and invent the future of Agile and DevOps, drive continuous improvement with a focus on process, controls, scalability, and maturity.
- Continuously evaluate, assess, and advocate for the adoption of cutting-edge tools and technologies that drive significant improvements in engineering efficiency, productivity, and future-proofing.
- Elevate the overall technical strength of the engineering organization by actively coaching, mentoring, and setting a high bar for technical excellence, architecture, and engineering best practices.

Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale, highly performant, and resilient production services.
- Experience in microservices architecture, domain driven design, RESTful API's and GraphQL.
- Experience developing front-end and back-end software, preferably including JavaScript or TypeScript, with frameworks such as React and runtimes, including Node.js.
- Experience building high-scale services on AWS (preferred) or other public cloud substrates.
- Understanding of test-driven development, and associated frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, other related testing frameworks a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to drive long-term design strategies across multiple complex projects, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of mentoring and fostering a culture of technical excellence in highly agile environments.
- A passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
