About the role

  • Spearhead the development of advanced Coherent DSP and algorithms
  • Analyze system link performance and collaborate closely with ASIC teams
  • Engage with diverse experts, contributing to projects that enhance global network efficiency and data integrity
  • Develop and fine-tune Coherent DSP algorithms for fiber optic systems
  • Evaluate system link performance via simulations and assessments
  • Drive firmware initiatives for channel acquisition and DSP performance optimization

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and C programming languages
  • Understanding of application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) design principles
  • Prior practical experience with digital signal processing, including control loops and digital equalization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills
  • Laboratory experience with real-time optical systems (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of RTL/Verilog (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with concepts in error correction codes and information theory (nice to have)
