About the role
- Part-Qualified Accountant providing financial support to German-speaking clientele. Collaborating with clients based in Germany and Malta within a friendly, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a varied client portfolio based in Malta and Germany
- Produce accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports and documentation
- Assist in preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and provide guidance
- Collaborate with tax advisors and auditors where necessary
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
Requirements
- Part-qualified in ACCA or holding a university degree in Accounting or Finance
- Fluent in German (non-negotiable) and English (written and spoken)
- 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Experience in client interaction and portfolio management
- Good understanding of Tax and VAT principles
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to explain financial data to non-financial audiences.
