About the role

  • Provide part-time support to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery by conducting policy research, development, and analysis
  • Draft, review, and revise policies, SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans
  • Conduct policy reviews to ensure compliance with DoD, federal, and interagency standards
  • Support action officer-level responsibilities in policy development and coordination
  • Maintain and update the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) partner engagement database
  • Analyze emerging DoD and federal directives to assess impact on BUMED security and emergency management programs

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Emergency Management, Security Studies, Public Policy, Information Security, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Successful completion of the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Course within the last 3 years
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a federal security clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
