About the role
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and services (primarily GCP)
- Use IaC tools (Terraform/Deployment Manager) to provision and automate infrastructure
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure incidents and ensure SLA adherence in a 24x7 model
- Work with incident management and ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow) for incident resolution
- Administer Linux systems and develop automation scripts (Python/Bash)
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments
- Engage with end users to gather requirements and advise on data integration solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers to ensure service delivery excellence
Requirements
- Must have 1+ years experience in provisioning infrastructure as a service cloud computing for cloud platforms
- Exposure to GCP is preferable
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including networking (VPC, VPN, firewall rules), storage, and compute resources
- Experience with incident management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
- Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure issues
- Familiarity with Linux system administration and command-line tools
- Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 model to ensure services delivered within SLAs
- Experience working in a 24/7 support or managed services environment is a plus
- Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, escalation handling and customer success
- Customer service obsession with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and handle numerous projects simultaneously
- Engage directly with end users to collect requirements and advise on data integration solutions
