About the role

  • Independent development of generalized machine control functions
  • Integration of developed solutions into the existing toolchain, release management, and documentation
  • Integration and testing of developed solutions on control hardware
  • Contribution to the design of a model-based machine control platform
  • Coordination of platform development with end users
  • Formulating requirements and deriving test scenarios

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, computer science, or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in control software development
  • Experience with model-based development environments (MATLAB/Simulink + Embedded Coder, SCADE) and high-level programming languages (C / C++, Python)
  • Familiar with software development processes, management, and tools (git, SVN, Docker, Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Knowledge of real-time and embedded operating systems is advantageous
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery is an advantage
  • Business-fluent German and good English skills
  • Strong quality awareness
  • Independent and systematic working style
  • Self-motivation, teamwork and adaptability coupled with effective communication skills
