About the role
- Physical Therapist Assistant treating orthopedic/spine chronic pain patients at UW Health. Collaborating with the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary teams for high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Treat an orthopedic/spine chronic pain patient population of all ages
- Assist the supervising physical therapist in guiding this patient population through appropriate individualized rehabilitation programs
- Efficiently communicate with PTs, physician referral sources, and other UW Health departments for care coordination and collaboration
- Work within an interdisciplinary pain management team to provide exceptional patient and family centered care
Requirements
- Associate's Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant Required
- Prior healthcare experience Required
- Home Health: One (1) year prior PTA or equivalent experience Required
- Professional experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Preferred
- Home Health: One (1) year home health therapy experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Preferred
- State of Wisconsin licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months Required
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and current auto insurance Upon Hire Required
