About the role
- Outpatient Therapist providing individual, family and group therapy in behavioral health services across southeastern Pennsylvania. Serving children, adolescents, and adults to promote mental health independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents and adults.
- Assist individuals in promoting independence in managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems.
- Complete all paperwork within policy time frames.
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Make referrals to appropriate community resources.
- Transfer skills to clients to promote independence.
- Comply with all state mandated regulations and all training requirements.
- Participate in supervision within policy time frames.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed mental health clinician (including psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or social worker) with a graduate degree that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum.
- Master's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum.
- Bachelor's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field.
- Individual and family therapy experience.
- Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources.
- Must be able to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions.
