About the role

  • Outpatient Therapist providing individual, family, and group therapy for children and adults. Joining the Reading office to support behavioral health services in the Berks County community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy (individual, family or group) to clients on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Complete all paperwork within policy time frames
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Make referrals to appropriate community resources
  • Transfer skills to client to promote independence
  • Comply with all state mandated regulations and all training requirements
  • Participate in supervision within policy time frames
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Licensed mental health clinician (including psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or social worker) with a graduate degree that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum
  • Master's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum
  • Bachelor's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field
  • Individual and family therapy experience
  • Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources
  • Must be able to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions
