About the role

  • Actively participate in the preparation of SORs (Statements of Requirements) for the distribution of parts to General Motors dealers and distributors
  • Identify potential logistics partners in the market, preparing technical assessments to support vendor qualification
  • Actively monitor the performance of contracted logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery, without damage or loss, and with the shortest possible transit time
  • Coordinate, monitor, and report operational indicators and cost performance in local/regional/global forums, developing focused action plans and defining best practices
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and operational-efficiency initiatives, including economic studies for potential changes to the distribution network considering new market benchmarks and innovative technologies
  • Expand the development and use of tools and management data obtained via the Parts Distribution Control Tower
  • Support internal departments and dealers in resolving transportation issues and expediting delivery of critical shipments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Economics or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI and Excel
  • Proven experience in Logistics and Supply Chain
