About the role
- Build and evolve cutting-edge AI framework enabling developers to create LLM-powered applications
- Develop and maintain Python libraries focused on LLM applications, embeddings, retrievers, and intelligent agent frameworks
- Design intuitive interfaces and abstractions (agent capabilities and reasoning, agent memory, retrieval algorithms, LLM response strategies, product-facing SDKs using LlamaCloud)
- Maintain open-source repositories: respond to GitHub issues and pull requests, write and refine documentation and examples, collaborate with users globally
- Contribute to an extensive CI/CD system that runs across 500+ Python packages
- Collaborate with the AI infrastructure team and help shape an open-source project with global impact
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficient in Python, including dependency management (poetry, uv, etc.)
- Utilizing recent python linters (ruff, mypy, etc.)
- Using pydantic for validation and serialization
- Experience with servers like FastAPI and Flask
- Experience with frontend frameworks like Streamlit, Gradio, or Reflex
- Passion for open-source development
- Contributed to or managed prominent open-source projects
- Experience working on Python and/or TypeScript frameworks
- Understanding of NLP, ML, and LLM architectures (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating experience implementing latest generative-AI patterns and algorithms (preferred)
- Experience with docker and kubernetes (preferred)
