About the role

  • Overall systems management and service-wide configuration of network infrastructure assets and services.
  • Contribute to the Second line service support to the University at large, and specialist support to the rest of the Communications Infrastructure Services.
  • Ensuring security measures are developed and applied consistently and effectively across the network to protect communications infrastructure, including incident response functions.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and experience of network switching and routing
  • At least two years’ experience of the operational management and service delivery of a data network or significant part thereof.
  • Solid understanding of security principles, particularly within a network environment.
  • Ensuring security measures are developed and applied consistently and effectively across the network to protect communications infrastructure, including incident response functions.
  • Responsive and flexible, you will be a good communicator to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience in one or more HPE/Aruba technologies - ClearPass, AOS, Airwave, IMC and Commware, as well as Fortinet.
