About the role
- Skilled .NET Developer responsible for building scalable solutions using .NET technologies and Azure services. Join Hastings Direct, a digital insurance provider aiming to enhance customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C#.
- Build RESTful Web APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Implement Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
- Utilise Azure API Management (APIM) to create, document, and manage APIs in a secure and scalable environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions within the Hastings Direct infrastructure.
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and deployment processes.
- Stay current with the latest .NET and Azure features to drive innovation within the company.
Requirements
- Proficient in C# with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and tools such as Octane, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Comfortable working in Visual Studio and related development tools.
- Desirable: Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Application Insights, App Configuration Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, and mocking tools like Moq.
