About the role

  • Manager in Actuarial and Analytics focusing on commercial insurance pricing and regulatory compliance. Leading strategic pricing initiatives within the CMP line for Travelers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage capacity planning and execute filing schedules to meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Participate in systems implementation and conduct comprehensive rate validation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform external rate adequacy analysis and respond to Department of Insurance (DOI) objections.
  • Develop project plans for special initiatives and provide mentorship to team.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with business units, product management, actuarial teams, enterprise product groups, systems personnel, and compliance areas.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance for supporting staff.

Requirements

  • College degree in STEM related field.
  • Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg. SQL, SAS).
  • 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
