Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the consolidated P&L and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of group results.
Act as the link between BU FBPs and group reporting, aligning BU-level insights into a coherent group-wide view.
Produce clear, actionable executive-level commentary on performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Lead on the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly group balance sheet reporting.
Maintain robust reconciliations for all entities, proactively resolving discrepancies and ensuring strong statements of financial position health.
Monitor intercompany balances, ensuring alignment across the group.
Lead in-depth analysis of monthly variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods across revenue, expenses, and cash.
Partner with BU stakeholders to understand performance drivers and translate findings into meaningful insight for decision-making.
Provide comprehensive support during annual audits, preparing documentation, addressing queries, and ensuring a smooth, well-managed audit process.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) and internal control requirements.
Work closely with FP&A, FBPs, and wider finance colleagues to ensure balance sheet integrity aligns with P&L and cash flow.
Collaborate with international finance teams to embed best-practice controls across all entities.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and reporting to support the scaling of the business.
Requirements
Part/Fully Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, with strong technical knowledge.
Experience in consolidated P&L and balance sheet reporting across multiple entities.
Strong track record of variance analysis and delivering insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
Strong Excel and financial systems skills; Netsuite or similar ERP experience desirable.
Analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Effective communicator, able to build relationships across different teams and influence at senior levels.
