About the role
- Lead Supplier Quality Engineer for GE Aerospace ensuring quality plan implementation and supplier audits. Collaborate with suppliers to drive improvements and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation
- Select suppliers through qualification processes
- Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards
- Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed
- Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
Requirements
- Advanced experience in the Sourcing & Supplier Quality Engineering for roles outside of the USA
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience) for roles in the USA
- At least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
- Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management
- Experience manufacturing engine or airframe accessories; Examples include: FADEC, sensors, valves, actuators, fuel controls, starters, heat exchangers, harnesses, filters, flex hoses, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
