About the role
- Spearhead the development of the OMS system, guiding technical direction and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions
- Translate business requirements into efficient features
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust microservices using Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud infrastructure technologies
- Oversee full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, and maintain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable solutions that align with business goals
- Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and promote coding standards
- Stay updated on technology trends to ensure continuous innovation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges to ensure system stability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in web application development or software engineering in a large enterprise environment
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies (Terraform, AWS, K8S, Spinnaker, IAM, ALB, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and databases
- Proficiency in Agile and Lean methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Preferred: Experience with AI tools, digital advertising, and modern UI frameworks (HTML/CSS/React)
- Preferred: Experience building Order Management Systems supporting Quote-to-Cash
- Preferred: Past experience working on Design Systems
- Passion for Disney’s storytelling legacy and curiosity for innovation
