Lead Software Engineer at Intapp developing an AI-powered, industry-specific cloud platform. Collaborating with senior engineers while enhancing software and developing new products.
Responsibilities
Lead the design of our products, from initial versions through maturity, shaping the product architecture and road map along the way, partnering with engineers, product management, DevOps, and other key team members.
Review proposed system enhancements and negotiate scope and design with product management.
Ensure the development team’s implementation designs are sound and in line with Intapp standards.
Coordinate with other Intapp engineering leaders to ensure that cross system/product use cases are implemented on time and correctly.
Work with product management, documentation, and support to ensure new functionality is properly understood and used.
Own the technical debt backlog and roadmap and ensure that the team is devoting sufficient time to engineering priorities.
Support the product in the field through collaboration with support, implementers, and customers.
Review system output and logs to troubleshoot field issues.
Participate in troubleshooting phone calls to resolve issues.
Ensure the product is functioning optimally, including logging and directing improvements as needed, through proactive review of cloud application logs.
Maintain project plans and development/testing work estimates, providing management visibility.
Maintain a well-groomed product backlog in the JIRA tracking system.
Ensure team velocity (measure of output) remains optimal including correctness of estimations and sprint completion rates.
Provide mentoring for technology, design, communication, and conflict resolution.
Perform design and code reviews with individual developers to ensure they are implementing at high quality and to Intapp standards.
Ensure the team is up to date on relevant new technologies and using these when appropriate for implementation of new features.
Participate in hands-on development of the products.
Actively code new features in and bug fixes in C# code and SQL to ensure detailed firsthand knowledge of the codebase.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience working with .NET technologies, such as C# and ASP.NET (typically 5+ years of hands-on experience).
Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server and PostgreSQL), with experience in high-performance data architecture for cloud applications.
Proficiency in agile development practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members in English.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React) is an asset.
