Responsibilities
As Lead Software Architect you are a central technical authority and shape the architecture strategically and methodically:
You take on an overarching architecture role and advise development teams on architectural decisions.
You develop and maintain a methodological toolkit for software architecture (including documentation, guidelines and best practices).
You ensure that complex, highly secure applications (e.g. microservices, event-driven architecture, DDD) comply with regulatory requirements and good practices.
You bring hands-on expertise in cloud-native technologies (Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm charts) into an on-premise-oriented environment and drive the further development of the architecture with a focus on scalability, modularity and future operating models.
You assume a lateral leadership role, support knowledge management and act as a multiplier for technical excellence across the company.
Requirements
Several years of experience as a software architect with a background in development.
Strong expertise in modern software architectures, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker.
Ability to make technical decisions at enterprise level and to guide teams methodically.
Experience in agile software architecture design is desirable.
Ideally, knowledge of system/software modeling using SysML/UML and established tools.
Good knowledge of agile and traditional software development methodologies.
Familiarity with architecture evaluation methods.
Open and curious mindset, strong communication skills and experience in lateral leadership.
