About the role
- Research Analyst at LSEG performing open-source KYC and PEP investigations. Researches media and regulatory sources to identify financial crime risks and support client compliance.
Responsibilities
- Research reputable media, government, regulatory and law enforcement sources to build and maintain relevant data in LSEG applications
- Use open-source research methods to gather information in the public domain
- Identify regulatory and financial risk such as money laundering, fraud, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and corruption
- Provide search and analysis related to publicly exposed persons (PEP), companies, and institutions to support client KYC compliance
- Stay up to date with guidelines and regulations to ensure accuracy and high quality of delivered work
- Collaborate with globally based teams on shared projects
- Support clients in aligning with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and reducing financial or reputational risk of missed investment
Requirements
- Proficiency in English and Italian
- Any additional language is helpful
- Critical thinking and analytical skills

- Very good use of Microsoft Office applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Language skills and journalistic approach
- Awareness of socio-political context of countries matching your language skills (desirable)
